Founder, CEO and Managing Director of TMG Health, Dr. Montano brings more than 20 years’ experience as a healthcare executive and senior management consultant. A graduate of Florida State University and Harvard Business School, his career began in private practice and consulting, but in 1997, Dr. Montano launched Medicare’s first national provider education and training program for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) – reaching more than 300,000 healthcare providers in all 50 states. He subsequently spent more than a decade in various leadership roles across Medicare/Medicaid administration and at Blue Cross Blue Shield. During this tenure, Dr. Montano worked closely with CMS, the (BCBS) Association and key commercial payers across the nation. The CMS Administrator who recently served as the director of the White House Office of Healthcare Reform nominated him for the prestigious Innovations in American Government Award for his outstanding leadership in Medicare and Medicaid. Dr. Montano now works directly with healthcare clients leveraging his expertise in Medicare/Medicaid; national relationships with CMS, HHS, hospital/medical associations and commercial payers. His unique insights on healthcare reform help clients solve a vast array of problems that save time, maximize strategic position for favorable policy outcomes and capture new revenue expeditiously and effectively.
